It's been here, spanning the tranquil waters of the Bayou Teche that flow under it since its construction in 1937. Located in Iberia Parish Louisiana, the heart of Cajun Country, the Vida Bridge is one of Louisiana's oldest working bridges still surviving today. Sadly, it now faces extinction.

The Save Vida Bridge Organization, was formed in an effort to save our treasured landmark from an impending demise by way of replacement. This website is your glimpse into the history of Vida Bridge, as well as information on the effort to save our piece of history.
