Commitment to Safety

M.P.G. Pipeline Contractors, LLC’s philosophy that the safety of its workforce along with jobsite  compliance is of up most importance in its day to day operations and in promoting an (IIF) Incident and Injury Free Work Environment. With the hard work and dedication of its HS&E department along with the continuous support, cooperation and assistance from its Management personnel, M.P.G. Pipeline Contractors, LLC is clearly setting the standard for Pipeline Safety in the twenty first century.  Our Safety program includes a comprehensive HS&E Management Systems Manual that is reviewed by the RAVS process of ISNET, an employee orientation program which includes issuing and reviewing of the HS&E Employee Handbook, a DOT Drug and Alcohol program and a comprehensive Subcontractor (PQF) Pre Qualification Process.   Work performance history reviews alone are not an acceptable method of evaluation for an individual. The HS&E department continuously strives to ensure all federal, state, local, and client requirements are being followed on each and every jobsite. The HS&E department consists of a Full Time Director along with skilled Field Coordinators on all jobsites.

DOT and OSHA Compliance

M.P.G. Pipeline Contractors, LLC in an effort to protect its personnel and the environment adheres to the United States Department of Transportation (US DOT) Operator Qualification Regulations (OQ) found in 49 CFR Part 192 Subpart N and Part 195 Subpart G. The company also abides by 49 CFR Parts 40 and 199 which pertains to M.P.G. Pipeline Contractors, LLC DOT Drug and Alchohal Abuse Prevention Policies which has been approved by (NCMS) National Compliance Management Services. All field Leaders are trained as required by (OSHA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, many of which have the obtained 100 hr. (CSST) Construction Site Safety Technician certification through the NCCER.

The company consists of Master Trainers, Assessment Proctors and Performance Evaluators through the NCCER along with Performance Evaluators for Veriforce.

M.P.G. Pipeline Contractors, L.L.C.’s key employees have completed numerous written assessments and / or performance evaluations. Our qualification of individuals was accomplished and documented through processes established, conducted and or overseen by NCCER, ISNetWorld and Veriforce.  These key employees include Superintendents, Welding Superintendents, Foremen, Operators, Welders and other traditional skilled labor working individuals. M.P.G. Pipeline Contractors, L.L.C. does not allow for work performance history reviews as an acceptable means of evaluation.

This OQ program encompasses all personnel representing M.P.G.Pipeline Contractors, L.L.C., subcontractors or personnel of all other entities who perform covered tasks on behalf of M.P.G. Pipeline Contractors, L.L.C. All subcontractors will meet one of the following criteria:

  • Subcontractors must meet or exceed the minimum OQ standards as
    required by the operator as part of their bid for work


  • Given the necessary Span of Control, subcontractors must have on
    hand a qualified individual while the covered task work is being performed

Implementation of this program will ensure that all personnel described above are qualified in accordance with the Operator Qualification Rule specific operator/client requirements and that adequate records to document these qualifications are maintained.
